Limiting the Response Size of a Question

Use an attribute to limit the number of characters an end user of your application can type into a text-based question field, such as Free Text or Number.

Implementation:

1. Switch to the Definition tab.
2. Select the intended question group.
3. Add a new question and assign an appropriate Type to it.
4. Right-click the selected question.
5. Select Attributes.
6. Add a new attribute with the type Max Field Length.
7. Switch to the Value panel.
8. Type the desired character limit into the Attribute Value field for the attribute.

9. Click OK.
