Appendix: Creating a Read Only Text Question

A Read Only Text question renders an application field with a similar appearance to that of a Free Text question. However, instead of allowing the end user to type a value, the field displays one to them. The value displayed can be specified when configuring the question or gathered from an attached attribute.

Implementation:

1. Switch to the Definition tab.
2. Select the intended question group.
3. Add a question and change its type to Read Only Text.
4. Use the Question Text field to enter the text you want to display.
5. Enter a unique keyword in the Question Keyword field.
6. (Optional) Tick the Fixed Response check box if you want to specify a response. Use the text field to enter the text you want to display next to the Question Text.
7. (Optional) Switch to Further Question Options and change the settings as required.
8. Click Save Question.
