A button will trigger a custom expression when clicked.

Implementation:

  1. Switch to the Definition tab.
  2. Select the intended question group.
  3. Add a question and change its type to Button or Navigation Button .
  • Button - A single button that appears alongside questions and other group content. Can only be used in Forms.
  • Navigation Button - An identical pair of buttons, one at the top of the page and another at the bottom. Can be assigned one of several pre-set styles, and can be used in Forms and Progress Indicators.
  1. Type a label for the button into the Question Text field.
  2. Either type the button's expression into the Expression to Evaluate field, or, if you find it easier to use the Expression Editor, click the Edit Expression button.
  3. (Optional) If you are creating a Navigation Button, you can select a style by opening the Further Question Options using the Navigation Button Type drop-down menu.
  4. Click Save Question.
