Configure a New Model Data Browser Page

Use this panel during the initial creation of a Model Data Browser page via the Site Map Inspector. Specify which model keywords you want the browser to display.

The Model Data Browser panel.

Implementation:

  1. Switch to the Model Data Browser panel when editing a page.
  2. Update the Keywords field by clicking the Select Fields button to remove the generic keyword names that are automatically displayed in this field list.

The Select Fields dialog will appear with a list of all models in the current repository that have at least one Model Identifier, such as a variable.

  1. Expand any of the listed models by clicking the 'plus' symbol to the left of its name. The expanded list will display all identifiers available to that model.
  2. Put a tick in the check box of any keyword you want to include in your model data browser. Do this for all models you want it to use.
  3. Click OK to confirm your choices and return to the previous panel.
  4. Click Yes if you want the selected keywords to create headings before the Select Fields dialog closes.

The chosen keywords will appear in the Keywords field.

  1. Once you have values in the Keywords field, click the Copy To Column Headings button to copy the keyword list into the Column Headings field.
  2. (Optional) Type a manual list of keywords into the Column Headings field. Make sure you separate them with commas.

Ensure the number of headings match the number of keywords, or the resulting headings may not appear in the intended order.

  1. Click Save to publish your changes to the site, and close the active window.

You will not be able to return to this panel once you have saved your page. Instead you can modify the MODELDATABROWSER element tag by altering its Fields and Headings properties, as needed.
