Generating a Navigation Definition Using a Wizard

Create a dynamic navigation definition quickly using the built-in wizard, which will generate one or more navigation groups and action buttons. The wizard will also generate the relevant model actions, and apply properties to the buttons within the groups, which you can modify as required.

Implementation:

  1. Open the Properties tab for a dynamic Progress Indicator and click Configure.
  2. Tick the Enable Dynamic Progress Indicator checkbox.
  3. Use the Bind Type drop-down menu to select Definition.
  4. Switch to the Navigation Groups panel.
  5. Click the Create a Navigation Definition link, which will open the Create Your Navigation Definition wizard.

This link will only appear if there are no navigation groups in the definition.

  1. Select whether you want to create a single group, which will appear in all question groups, or multiple groups—one for each question group in the model—that will each contain all navigation buttons as selected in the next step.
  2. Click Next.
  3. Select the question groups you want to include in the navigation definition. Each selected form will be turned into an action button and assigned to all navigation groups.
  4. Click Finish to save your settings and generate the navigation groups, buttons, and actions.
